Carport, house catch fire early Tuesday

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque fire crews quickly put out a carport fire that spread to a nearby home in northeast Albuquerque.

Crews say the fire started in the carport at about 5:30 a.m. and when they arrived, it had spread to the home on San Pablo near Lomas and Louisiana.

Fire crews got the fire under control in less than 10 minutes.

The family in the home evacuated safely and no injuries were reported.
