ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department has two people who they say are connected to the murder 20-year-old Kenneth Perez.

Frankie Esquibel and Samir Rodriguez were both charged with an open count of murder.

According to police, Perez’s body was found early Tuesday morning in an Allsups parking lot at Coors and Blake. His family members live in a nearby mobile home park and said Perez left his house around 4 a.m. for the gas station to meet some people – possibly over money. Deputies said there was a fight and Perez was shot.

BCSO says the investigation is ongoing.
