John’s Thursday Evening Forecast

The storm system that brought showers and storms Tuesday and Wednesday is now leaving Colorado. Behind it, drier air is setting up for the next several days. Expect lots of sunshine with temperatures still on the cooler side Friday afternoon.

Saturday remains quiet, but temperatures slowly start to warm through the weekend. By Sunday and Labor Day Monday, afternoon highs in Albuquerque will reach the low 90s. Meanwhile, the southeast will warm into the upper 90s. A few locations could push 100°!

Another storm will pass even farther to our north during the day Sunday. Showers are unlikely across most of the state. However, winds will be elevated during the day Sunday, making for a breezy afternoon. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
