Police: Dairy stabbing may have been retaliation

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Chaves County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a stabbing at a dairy there.

They got called to the Cheyenne Two Dairy between Roswell and Dexter around 4:00 Tuesday morning.

Deputies say the 35-year-old victim was working at the dairy when two men in hooded sweatshirts attacked him stabbing him in the head and arms as well as beating him with a bat.

The victim is hospitalized in Roswell and is said to be stable.

Deputies are interviewing people, but so far no arrests have been made.

Investigators think the crime may have been retaliation for something.
