Scattered showers and storms will be present in much of the state today. We’ve already seen some scattered light showers develop this morning. Through the afternoon and evening the coverage and intensity of the rain will increase. Scattered storms will have the capability to bring heavy rain and heavy rain over an extended period of time will bring about the threat of flash flooding. Flash Flood Watches are in place for Central and Western New Mexico today. Our rain and storm chance will start to decrease as we head towards the end of the week. We’ll eventually have dry and hot skies back by the weekend.
