Ryan Cook uncertain about NFL future

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A back injury forced Ryan Cook to the sidelines with the Dallas Cowboys for all of 2013. The offensive lineman had to have surgery to repair the injury.

Cook became a free agent after last season and has yet to find a team. After eight seasons the former University of New Mexico Lobo is facing the possibility that his NFL career may be finished. That’s okay with Cook who feels like he got a lot out of the game.

The Minnesota Vikings second round pick in 2006 said, “I’m super content with that. I’ve been blessed with 8 years of playing football in the NFL along with five years in college and high school before that…pee wee before that. Football has been a big part of my life for a long time. I’m pretty content if this is the end of the road for me. So be it. I just feel very blessed to be able to do that for such a long time.” When pressed again about retirement cook said, “never say never.”
