‘Manhattan’ series overlooked by viewers

LOS ALAMOS, N.M. (KRQE) – Despite great reviews, critics say a TV show based and filmed in New Mexico is getting overlooked.

The Hollywood Reporter says “Manhattan,” the series about scientists who moved to New Mexico to create America’s first atomic bomb, is on their list of most overlooked series.

For its debut, Time Out Pizza in Los Alamos held a watch party. Manager Victor Thoren said residents are still fans.

Hollywood Reporter and TV critic Tim Goodman said he believes people aren’t picking up on the show because they aren’t familiar with the network WGN America. Goodman has placed the series on his five shows to watch before fall.
