2 arrested in overnight southeast ABQ shooting

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Police say two men were behind two shootings at two separate scenes early Sunday morning.

APD responded to The Cottages apartments, home to more than 700 college students – around four this morning — after calls that a someone was shooting a gun.

When officers arrived, the suspects were gone.

Then a second call came in of being shots being fired after a road rage incident nearby. Officers say the victims’ car was riddled with bullets.

The victims told police two men in a dark colored Jaguar crashed into them, got out and started shooting at their car.

“We did find multiple casings at the scene – The Cottages – and car that was shot at a little way from The Cottages,” said Officer Simon Drobik.

Police say the black Jaguar was spotted in the foothills and two men were arrested.

APD says 28-year-old Tyvon Green was the driver and 22-year-old Shanoah Cauley was the passenger.

Cauley told police he fired a gun, but only to scare people.
