Police say armed home invasion suspects were arrested.

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Two suspects have been arrested after attempting a home invasion at gunpoint Saturday morning.

Albuquerque police say they were called out by homeowners just after 7:00 a.m. to a house near Menaul and Fifth Street. The Albuquerque Police Department says when they arrived the two suspects were still inside.

The suspects fled leading officers on a chase and APD says one suspect fired a shotgun at police.

Officers say they don’t know why the two men targeted the home but they say that no one else is believed to have been involved in the robbery.

No names have been released.
