Football Friday: Part One

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Another season of New Mexico football is upon us and will begin in full force next week. Friday’s show offers a sneak peak what is to come. News 13 also talks with coaches about their upcoming seasons and catch previews of teams in all classes.

This season will be different as far as classifications go. The teams you know as 5A are now Class 6-A. It goes from five to two after that and the classification you remember as Single A is no more.

Santa Fe has been tossed into a mix of powerful teams. Cleveland has a new quarterback, Volcano Vista is curious about how their season will work out. Cibola Coach Rod Williams turned a one win team into 7 last season and has a solid group returning.

News 13 speaks with the Rio Rancho Rams Coach Dave Howes. The Rams are one of the powerhouse teams that may be a title contender this season.
