Police arrest alleged kidnapper in NW ABQ

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – While responding to a call about a domestic dispute, Albuquerque police say they arrested a man accused of keeping a woman inside an apartment against her will.

Police say Myron Mixon punched the woman in the head every time she attempted to leave. At one point, the woman said Mixon dragged her from her vehicle and back into the apartment.

When police arrived, they said Mixon climbed out a window, but they were able to apprehend him soon after without incident.

Mixon had an outstanding warrant for parole violation in reference to another, separate kidnapper.

He was booked on two counts of kidnapping, along with other charges.
