Legal troubles continue for Valley Meat Company.

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Valley Meat company in Roswell has ended its fight to open a horse slaughterhouse but the legal fight is apparently not over.

The attorney general’s office is still pursuing an injunction against Valley Meat and recently filed a lengthy motion demanding the company provide more evidence in the case.

The attorney for Valley Meat says it’s a waste of time because they no longer have plans to open as a horse slaughterhouse.

Valley Meat is suing for damages claiming the attorney generals actions to keep them from opening cost them about $10 million in lost revenue.
