Bomb threat evacuates La Cueva High School

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Officials evacuated La Cueva High School Thursday due to an email bomb threat sent to the principal

About 150 students participating in after-school activities and athletics were sent home immediately. Staff also was evacuated and no one was allowed back into the school.

The entire campus was being searched by the Albuquerque Police Department in cooperation with APS Police. Crews have since completed their search and have cleared the school.

APS says the campus will remain closed and evening activities are cancelled Thursday as a precautionary measure.
