ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A traffic crash this week led to a huge bust. Police say the couple in the car was just involved in a robbery and they still had the evidence with them.

According to a criminal complaint, Jazmine Nienow and Mario Alcantara-Jarquin were with another man who robbed an uptown hotel Thursday. When they took off they crashed.

Police noticed a cash drawer in the jeep and a surgical mask that one of the suspects used in the hold-up.

Both of them pinned the blame on a third man.

The judge didn’t buy it and told them to stay away from the third suspect.

The complaint states, the third suspect was in the car during the crash, but he ran. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
