Storms slammed parts of New Mexico with heavy rain while others baked in the sunshine. Highs in the metro hit the lower 90s. Saturday was the first time the Sunport went above 90° since the end of July. Storm chances will continue for Sunday, but they’re going to be fewer and far between. Showers will develop near the mountains around lunch time on Sunday before eventually drifting into valley locations later in the afternoon. Some areas of flooding could be possible with stronger storms on your Sunday afternoon.
