NMSP officer arrested on domestic abuse charges

TUCUMCARI, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico State Police have confirmed that the Tucumcari Police Department is filing domestic violence charges against an NMSP Officer.

Officer Isaac Vigil has been placed on administrative leave for an internal investigation. While on leave, Vigil will not be allowed to perform police duties and has turned in his vehicle, firearm and badge.

Officer Vigil was arrested Thursday afternoon; he has been with NMSP for one and half years.
