Chris’ Friday Evening Forecast

Scattered storms continue to dump heavy rain in parts of New Mexico tonight.   These storms will fizzle out overnight and an area of high pressure will start to dominate our weather for Saturday and Sunday.   That means less storms and more heat for much of the state.   Temperatures will be climbing above average for the weekend with storms confined to the mountains and the valleys immediately around the higher terrain.   Our chances for storms could go back up by the middle of next week. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
