Water restored in Moriarty after well issues

Downed wells left Moriarty residents without water Wednesday.

MORIARTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Water is back on in Moriarty but it was a different story Wednesday when two wells went down.

Residents were without water until about 7:00 p.m. Water is still running at low pressure and officials say it should be that way until 6:00 p.m. Thursday.

The cause of the well failure is still under investigation and the city has been working on getting a third pump in the system.
