ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Starting Friday, West Virginia will be able to purchase a New Mexican favorite for its own stores.

According to the West Virginia Gazette, Hatch green chile will be sold at Kroger’s grocery stores in Ashton.

Kroger told the Gazette that foodies in West Virginia are always looking for unique items and a new taste experience and there’s a huge market for green chile out there.

The chile will be prepared for customers just the way it is here: roasted to perfection.
