New Mexico State Police say three Oklahoma teens lead them on a high speed chase in a stolen truck.

LAS VEGAS, N.M. (KRQE) – Three Oklahoma teens are in custody after stealing not one but two trucks and the incident came to an end right here in New Mexico.

According to New Mexico State Police, the boys took off with their uncle’s truck from Oklahoma. When they ran out of gas in Santa Rosa, police say they swiped a tow truck.

Authorities found the trio while on Interstate 25 just outside Las Vegas. When officers tried pulling them over the boys refused to stop. The teens took police on a wild chase, exiting the main highway and going north on old Highway 85.

Police were able to eventually stop the three after throwing spikes on the road.

All three boys were arrested and charged with felony fleeing including auto theft.
