ABQ Sonic murder still unsolved 6 years later

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Another year has passed and there are still no answers about what appears to be the random murder of a Sonic employee.

Arthur Dewees was working at the Sonic on San Pedro and Central on the morning of August 11th, 2008 when he was shot and killed while taking out the trash.

Police have never identified a suspect in the case. They say they simply don’t have any clues as to who the killer is.

A memorial remains at the Sonic to remind people of what happened there.

Dewee’s widow says she leaves flowers weekly.

The family did gather up money for a reward but still no solid tips.

They’re begging anyone in the public who knows anything to call Crime Stoppers at 843-STOP.
