ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The bank robber known as the “Mustached Bandit” is facing more than 30 years in prison for the crimes he says he was forced into by his drug dealer
James Mollohan pleaded guilty in March to robbing four Albuquerque banks. He was finally arrested last year, just after he robbed a bank on Coors. Police say he had the gun and the stolen money from the bank.
According to a federal sentencing report, the defense claims Mollohan is a meth addict who became a criminal slave to his drug dealer because he was so in debt.
He faces up to 32 years at sentencing in August.
