NMSP investigates fatal crash

A family of four was killed Friday in a head-on crash.

BLOOMFIELD, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico State Police are investigating a crash that killed a family of four Friday near Bloomfield.

According to NMSP, the crash happened at 9:00 p.m. when 24-year-old Brian Lee became fatigued, crossed the center line with his truck on Highway 550 and collided head-on with a van driven by 47-year-old Michael Miller. Miller, his wife and their two children were killed on impact, police say.

The victims of the crash have been identified as 48-year-old Leann Miller, 12-year-old Zoey Miller and 7-year-old Miles Miller. NMSP says, Micheal was the only occupant of the van wearing a seatbelt.

Lee was transported to a Farmington hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police say the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
