LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) – A little kitten who was severely injured after being thrown from a moving truck and into a brick wall is on the road to recovery. Little Sam is already up and playing after getting his front left leg amputated just over a week ago.
The vet thought he might have eye issues and could be blind but it looks like his eyesight is also doing well.
The 8-week-old kitten was brought into the Bosque Animal Clinic last Wednesday after someone saw him being hurled at the wall from a truck on Camelot Boulevard in Los Lunas.
As for Sam, well there are so many people who want to adopt him, the Bosque Animal Clinic plans on holding an adoption application process to get him the best home. They hope to start that in about a week after he gets his sutures out.
The Alliance against Animal Abuse is offering a $500 reward to catch the person responsible. If you have information call Los Lunas police.
