Murder, rape suspect caught trying to enter US illegally

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A Cuban national accused of murder and child rape was caught trying to cross into the U.S. from Mexico with fake immigration documents.

Border agents say Alfredo Labrada-Gomez started acting strange, so they looked into his background further. His fingerprints revealed he was arrested for murder in 2003 and for six counts of child rape in 2009 among other charges.

Labrada-Gomez is now jailed at the Otero County prison pending extradition.
