Mark’s Thursday Evening Weather Report

We actually had a better storm crop today than it looked like we would 24 hours ago. A week weather disturbance along with some moisture at the surface combined for widespread storms over Central and Eastern New Mexico through the evening hours. The storms came close to Albuquerque but never delivered any significant rain. However, thick cloud cover did help to keep temperatures down in the 70s today. Tomorrow storms and cloud cover won’t be quite as easy to find with isolated storms over the higher terrain.

This weekend southerly flow will help to fuel thunderstorm from time to time. Once again the favored areas will be the mountains and adjacent valleys. Below is a look at the seven-day precipitation forecast.
