Albuquerque superintendent to be investigated

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Public School board president has hired a private attorney to investigate Superintendent Winston Brooks but the board isn’t saying why.

Board President Analee Maestas signed a letter in July with a law firm at a rate of $190 for each hour of work.

The board was set to discuss the investigation Wednesday night away from the public eye, but postponed that action.

Superintendent Brooks did not return News 13 calls for comment Thursday.
