Eastbound I-40 near Big-I reopens following truck fire

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – All lanes are open on eastbound I-40 after a semi-truck fire shut down two of them near the Big-I on Thursday morning.

According to Albuquerque Police, a semi-truck caught fire near 6th Street. The on-ramp to northbound and southbound I-25 was also closed temporarily.

The cause of the fire and the condition of the driver is unknown at this time, however, no injuries have been reported.
