School supply drive helps students in need

School supply drive

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Kids are getting ready to go back to school this month, but some families can’t afford to buy all the supplies schools ask for. On Tuesday, volunteers got together to load up a couple of school buses.

The supplies collected will help APS students in need. Among the volunteers were students from local schools.

“Giving to kids is great, especially fellow students.” Danae Maes, a St. Pius student and volunteer said. “Since I’m on the mayor’s Youth Advisory Council, that’s my whole point of being on the council is to help the different, help the youth of Albuquerque and the community.”
