Crews break ground on 4th Street development

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Construction on a new development is about to start in downtown.

Tuesday was the groundbreaking for Anthea.

It’s going up at the corner of Fourth Street and Granite.

The development is expected to include 23 extended stay apartments, a coffee house, restaurant and a bar called Pony Jo that will feature a Route 66 theme.

“That’s what Pony Jo is going to be all about, a place to gather,” said Matt DiGregory. “We have a live stage for live performances, we have comfy seating for if you want to do a quick meeting. We have a restaurant where you can get some good food. We’ll have grab and go items.”

It’s scheduled to be done by the end of March 2015.
