NASHVILLE (KRQE) – A New Mexico woman caused quite the scene on a flight from Dallas to Boston over the weekend. Mary Lentz, 55, of Santa Fe, forced the plane to make an emergency landing in Nashville.
According to the criminal complaint, Lentz was verbally abusive to other passengers saying she was lost and couldn’t find her seat. When the flight attendant tried to help, Lentz punched him in the stomach.
The flight attendant wrestled her to the ground while other crew members helped restrain her.
Once the plane landed, officers had to escort Lentz kicking and screaming off the plane. They say she even kicked out the cage window in the patrol car.
A witness told police she told him she had recently broken up with a long term boyfriend, but it’s unknown it that’s what prompted the outburst.
