Fill-the-Bus drive a success so far

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The first weekend for a massive Fill-the Bus drive to help kids in New Mexico get ready for school was a hit.

Walmart, the APS Community Clothing Bank and APS Education Foundation are teamed up for the drive.

Since Friday, buses were set up at three different Walmart locations around Albuquerque where people could drop of gently used clothes and school supplies.

Organizers say they still need more items.

Those who didn’t get a chance to donate today can participate in another drive next weekend.
