LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) – Sam’s surgery Friday was success.
The Bosque Animal Clinic tells News 13 Sam is doing well after getting his leg amputated Friday morning.
The 8-week-old kitten was brought into the vet on Wednesday after someone saw him being hurled at a brick wall from a moving truck on Camelot Boulevard in Los Lunas.
Besides Friday’s amputation, Sam also suffered a bloody nose, head trauma and he maybe blind.
The clinic says it’s still being inundated with calls to adopt the kitten and people donating money to help pay for his care.
The Alliance against Animal Abuse is offering a $500 reward to catch the person responsible.
