ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Gloria Baca-Lucero’s neighbors first saw a Comcast van in front of her home on Monday. Then they saw police cars.
“My first impression was, ‘Oh boy. We got new neighbors,'” said neighbor Mary Lovato.
PTA president Gloria Baca-Lucero had just moved into her new home when a Comcast worker came out to install her cable.
When she heard she’d be charged for it she wasn’t happy.
She told police the Comcast worker wouldn’t leave, so she pointed a gun in the air.
The worker said she pointed it at his torso after he tried to retrieve his tools.
She was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Baca-Lucero was slated to be the president of the parents association at Manzano Day School, a private school near Old Town. The head of the school told News 13 Baca-Lucero is taking a voluntary leave of absence from her position.
She declined to speak with News 13.
There was a Dish Network van in front of her house when we arrived Thursday.
“Everybody seemed calm and the officers said they were pretty nice people,” said neighbor Pete Broberg. “I think they were just stressed out from the moving.”
