Mark’s Wednesday Evening Weather Report

A strong cold front rolling into the east side of the state will work it’s way in the metro area tonight. Look for east winds will top out around 40 miles an hour with the possibility of some isolated thunderstorms. The big impact of the front will actually be felt tomorrow when we get a better chance of widespread storms.

The front will do a good job of drawing moisture back in across the state as a whole so look for storms to be much easier to come by Thursday and Friday.

As we head into the weekend a chance for storms continues and in fact August will get off to a great start with above-average precip throughout the next seven days.

Below is a look at what we expect rainfall wise over the next week and the numbers are very promising.
