Virgin Galactic is testing their aircrafts in a move toward spaceflight

TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES, N.M. (KRQE) – It looks like Virgin Galactic could fly out of the New Mexico Spaceport later this year.

The company tweeted out a picture of Spaceship Two Tuesday just before its latest test flight. It is the aircraft that will eventually take tourists to space.

Virgin Galactic captioned the photo; “Check-out flight today, on the road to spaceflight later this year.”

It’s the first time the company confirms the flights could actually happen in 2014.

Virgin says Spaceship Two took off from the Mojave Desert on its 51st test flight. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
