Moriarty approves Google lease for Titan Aerospace

MORIARTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A million dollars could be used to run water and sewer lines in Moriarty but it would be for a property leased to Google where Titan Aerospace would work out of.

The Moriarty City Council approved a five year lease with Google last week.

Friday the council will meet to consider an ordinance that would finalize the deal among the city, the state and Google.

Google has already started construction on the building. It bought Titan Aerospace in April.

Titan says it makes solar-powered drones as an inexpensive replacement for satellites.

Google will pay about $40,000 a year for the lease. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
