2 arrested in connection to bank robberies

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – On Monday, two people were arrested in connection with three bank robberies in the metro area, according to a release sent from the FBI.

Jeremy Trujillo, 34, of Albuquerque and Angelica Donna Casados, 26, of Rio Rancho are scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

The FBI says Trujillo robbed the Bank of Albuquerque at 4201 Wyoming Boulevard on Monday. He was arrested by APD and turned over to the FBI.

Trujillo allegedly entered the bank around 9:30 a.m., displayed a handgun and demanded cash.

Casados is accused of assisting and robbing a Bank of Albuquerque on Ridgecrest Drive in Rio Rancho and another Bank of Albumen on Coors.

Rio Rancho police arrested Casados on Monday.
