6 Reno Aces players suspended after fight


ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – New details and video have been released involving the massive brawl between the Albuquerque Isotopes and the Reno Aces.

Video is from Wayne Cameron was posted on the Reno Gazette-Journal website and KRQE News 13 has learned that the pacific coast league has now suspended six Reno players for Saturday’s fight. Each of them has also been fined an undisclosed amount.

The fight happened after Cuban prospect Erisbel Arruebarruena with the Isotopes took exception to a pitch too far inside.

A fight ensued and it spilled into the stands.

Ten players were ejected.

Five Isotopes players have also been suspended for their role in the brawl.

Back in May, Isotopes player Miguel Olivo and Alex Guerrero mixed it up in the dugout during a game in Salt Lake City.

During that fight Olivo bit off Guerrero’s ear which cost Olivo his job.
