ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Overnight witnesses say a car smashed into a senior living complex downtown after knocking out a street light and nearly hitting people.

It happened around 11:30 Friday night, at the Hiberman House on Sixth and Coal.

Albuquerque police say the driver of this black Ford jumped out after the crash and as of Saturday morning they’re still looking for him.

They say he is a balding white male, about 5-foot seven, wearing a grey or white shirt and dark colored shorts.

No injuries were reported.
