ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – New Mexico will continue to use a federal online system for another year to enroll individuals in health insurance plans.

The state’s health insurance exchange governing board voted Friday morning to rely on the federally-operated computer system when the next open enrollment begins in November.

A majority of the board previously worried New Mexico wasn’t ready to switch to the state-run system for individuals.

Businesses have been using the state system since last October.
