ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – There has been another car fire in Roswell. Police are now investigating it as a possible arson, which would make it the 21st incident since November.

It happened at around 6 a.m. Friday in a field near the airport.

Earlier this month, police say someone set three cars on fire, which spread to two homes. One house was destroyed.

Fire investigators said there are a lot of similarities in each case, but they still don’t know for sure if they’re all connected.

The Chaves County Crime Stoppers and concerned citizens are offering a reward to help catch a possible fire bug. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
