Animal cruelty charges filed against Roswell man

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Warning some may find the images in the video graphic.

Charges have now been filed in an extreme animal cruelty case out of Roswell.

Earlier this month the New Mexico livestock board seized three horses so malnourished their ribs were poking out. There was also a dead horse with its legs chained together on the property belonging to 59-year-old Alberto Olague.

Olague is also accused of not leaving enough food or water for the animals.

This week the livestock board found enough evidence to file charges.

Olague was not arrested but will be summoned to court.
