ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The accused drunk driver who hit an aviation officer nearly killing him has been indicted by a grand jury.

On the night of March 7th officers say Michelle Rivera was driving drunk, speeding and swerving in and out of traffic on I-40 when she rear-ended Officer Robert Dilley’s jeep causing it to roll.

He broke his neck and was critically injured.

Now a grand jury has indicted Rivera on charges of aggravated DWI resulting in great bodily harm and reckless driving.

Rivera’s breath alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.

Dilley has been back on duty for three weeks now.
