ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Albuquerque woman who did time for killing a man admitted to new charges of driving under the influence Wednesday and will now head back to jail.
Earlier this month, Miranda Pacheco tested positive for alcohol when she was arrested which violated her probation.
In 2010, Pacheco was sentenced to 90 days for killing a bicyclist on a path near Paseo.
A year later she was arrested and convicted for DWI.
Ever since then, she’s been passed on probation for that case and for stealing a purse.
On Wednesday, the wife of the man she killed was in court, to ensure she remains behind bars.
“I come to be an advocate for the entire community for my family, for my husband who was killed. She belongs incarcerated,” said Sherry Anderson, whose husband was killed by Pacheco.
Pecheco was sentenced to 37 days in jail for violating her probation.
Last month, Pacheco was found passed out behind the wheel after crashing into an Auto Glass shop. Those charges are still pending.
