Merv Lindsay leaving New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Merv Lindsay has asked for and received his release from the University of New Mexico men’s basketball program. The small forward appeared in 20 games for the Lobos as a redshirt sophomore last season and will have two years of eligibility as he seeks a new place to play.

Lobos head coach Craig Neal released a statement thanking Lindsay for his work and offering to support Lindsay as he finds a new place to play.

Lindsay transferred to New Mexico from Kansas for the 2012 and 2013 season. He averaged six and a half minutes per game for the Lobos last season.
