Roswell cartoonist responds to controversial ad

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – The fight over euthanized dogs at the Roswell Animal Shelter is getting ugly.

Last week, a rescue posted an ad featuring dogs killed at the Roswell Animal Shelter since the city’s new rescue adoption policy. It requires rescues be non-profit and agree to random inspections.

The policy went into effect last month after pit-bull mixes escaped from a rescue and mauled a 9-year-old boy.

Now the Roswell cartoon artist has created their own ad titled “The Real Fallen Angels” and it features 10 kids.

It says they were all killed by dogs, and says “ask dog activists why they don’t care about children.”
