Museum reopens following package investigation

SANTA FE (KRQE) -The Santa Fe Children’s Museum is open again after a suspicious package forced evacuations and closed a portion of Old Pecos Trail.

Twenty children were evacuated from the museum while police investigated the package which was wrapped in green paper with a sign that said “Push Me” on it. Police say the package was left on a wall outside the museum

The children were taken to St. John’s United Methodist Church across the street from the museum. No injuries were reported.

Old Pecos Trail between East Coronado Road and East Barcelona Road has since reopened.
