Suspect arrested in armed Home Depot robbery

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – It was a scary situation for two Home Depot workers after police say a man pulled out a gun when they tried to stop a woman who was shoplifting.

It happened last month.

According to a criminal complaint, Jerry Jojola was in the getaway car.

Police say Jojola pulled up in a Cavalier, pointed a gun at the employees and told them he’d shoot them if they didn’t let the woman go.

They took off, but investigators tracked down Jojola and arrested him last week.

He faced a judge Saturday on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
