ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Thousands came out for the second day of the Route 66 Summerfest on Saturday.
Nob Hill’s largest block party had the usual – music and great food.
But, maybe a little less expected was the mass wedding held near Girard and Central.
Dozens showed up to say, “I do,” and among those couples were members of the KRQE News 13 family. Morning meteorologist Kassandra Crimi married her longtime love.
“It was such a good idea, and we’re getting married in Mexico, so we had to do all of the legal paper work. Why not? Beautiful day, and our family is here,” Crimi said.
The public sill has one more day to enjoy Summerfest. Jazz brunches at some restaurants around UNM and Nob Hill will close out the festival Sunday.
